In the early days of our company we found many of our bed bound service users were using very small incontinence sheets for their beds and chairs. I personally felt the cost of the sheets was high for the size and the amount of sheets in a packet sold. Many of the sheets were too small to cover enough of the mattress and chairs.
So I researched the internet and found large bed sheets, large enough to cover a single bed from side to side. The price was much lower if I bought in bulk too.
I decided to ask our clients if this was something they would consider purchasing, bigger, better and cheaper??? Many of our clients said yes and started ordering directly from us. We have saved our service users money, and their families from having to order them, get them delivered or go to the shops.
This has worked extremely well both for our service users and for local people who now pop into our shops. We sell over 500 a week. It’s also clear this type of product is essential for some elderly people who are not able to order online, do not have transport and family to asssit.
This small idea has made a positive difference to lots of people so we have decided to grow this side of the business for both our locations. Incontinence products can now be purchased from both of our shops, North Walsham and Aylsham
